Passenger finds tooth in airplane food

An Australian man onboard a Singapore Airlines flight last month was left horrified after he discovered what seems to be a human tooth in the meal that was served to him by the airlines.

Passenger Bradley Button said that he was flying with the said airlines on February 26 and was served a rice meal mid-flight.

He said that he suddenly heard a crunch while chewing his food causing him to spit it out and discover a suspected human molar.

“For the rest of the flight I was not well, just the idea of having someone else’s body part in my food is not nice,” he told the Australian Associated Press.

He informed a flight attendant who was “adamant” about what happened. Button said that the flight attendant just took his meal for testing and told him that it was just a piece of small rock. However, Button was unconvinced.

“It was without a shadow of a doubt a tooth,” he said.

Button said that after the incident, he was given a voucher to use on the airline’s duty-free products.

Two days after the incident, Singapore Airlines apologized and launched an investigation.

The carrier said in a statement that one passenger onboard a flight from Wellington to Melbourne discovered “what appeared to be a foreign object in their meal.”

The airlines, however, did not confirm if it was really human tooth as they are still conducting an investigation.

“We sincerely apologize to the customer for this negative experience and for the inconvenience this has caused. We are currently investigating this incident and have sent the object for analysis to determine what it is,” the carrier said in a statement.
