The Sharjah Criminal Court has decided to look into the case of two men who posed as police interrogators and stole cash and jewelry from two Asian victims.
According to witnesses, one of the accused entered a grocery store and showed a card claiming that he was a member of the police investigation team.
He then assaulted two Asian nationals and took them to a private car.
One of the victims said he was accompanied by a colleague in a supermarket when the accused came and assaulted them, claiming that they were members of the police.
They took a watch, a ring, and a gold necklace from them.
After which, they were forced to ride a car and walked for 45 minutes going to a dumpsite, where the accused assaulted them with a wooden stick.
A witness who was working in the supermarket confirmed the claim of the victims.
One of them was speaking Arabic, he said.
