A man in the wanted list of police for raping a 15-year old girl in Cavite province four years ago was nabbed by authorities on Wednesday.
The suspect named Marlon Ulep was applying for a police clearance at the Makati Police Station when he was collared by the authorities, reported the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The report said the suspect thought his case had been dismissed when he reached a settlement with the victim’s mother.
The police found his criminal record upon checking it with the National Police Clearance System.
It was found that on December 15, 2015, an arrest warrant was issued by Executive Judge Norberto Quisumbing of the Imus, Cavite Regional Trial Court Branch 21.
The warranty of arrest has finally been served and he was sent to jail.
He was the third suspect with a pending arrest warrant caught while applying for a police clearance in Makati City since January.
