The cold weather is expected to continue in the UAE with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) saying that the country will experience a “significant drop in temperature” this weekend.
According to NCM’s weather forecast, a partly cloudy weather with a significant drop in temperature can be expected this weekend on Saturday, March 2.
“There will be a significant drop in temperature on Saturday, with strong northwesterly winds of a speed of 25 to 40 km/h, reaching 60 km/h at times,” said the NCM.

Meanwhile, several parts of the UAE also experienced a cold morning today, February 28, with the lowest temperature reported at Jais Mountain at 6.2 degrees.
Other areas such as Mebreh Mountain (9.6 degrees), Yanas Mountain (14.8 degrees), Al Heben Mountain (16.3 degrees), and Al FarFar (16.3 degrees) also experienced cold weather.

Light to moderate rains were also experienced in various parts of the country such as Al Jazirah Al Hamra Road, Emirates-Umm Al Quwain Road, Northern Al Ain City, Al Barsha, and Jais Mountain.
