Emirates diverts flight to Prague to rescue baby needing urgent medical attention

Dubai’s flagship airline company, Emirates, was able to save the life of an infant passenger, who was in need of emergency medical attention, by diverting its flight to Prague instead of landing on its original destination.

According to Emirates, the Newcastle-bound Boeing 777 flight from Dubai landed at Prague Václav Havel Airport in the Czech Republic when a baby passenger was reported to be in need for urgent medical attention seven hours into the flight.

One of the passengers said that they landed at the airport on Monday, February 25, around 10 a.m. where the baby was taken off the plane and treated by the medical staff.

The plane departed the airport around 11:20 a.m. and landed in Newcastle at 1:19 p.m.

Emirates apologized to the other passengers who were affected by the delay due to the emergency landing while underscoring that the health of its passenger is its priority.
