Budding OFW entrepreneurs take on business plans

Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes poses for posterity with the Philippine Business Council (PBC) and other consulate officials during a recent PBC event at the consulate. The PBC has recently launched a fellowship program for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) was received resoundingly as 70 OFWs have applied. PBC has started the elimination process to get to the successful 50 applicants who will be grouped for them to work on their business plans. PBC will be giving Dh30,000 to the successful group, courtesy of LBC Middles East, plus another Dh20,000 by way of support. The panel is headed by the consul general. On board are Deputy Consul General Renato N. Duenas, Jr., Labor Attaché Felicitas Bay, Vice Consul Elizabeth Ramos, Allan Bautista, LBC Middle East sales and marketing manager and Veronica Rey, LBC Middle East communications manager.
