Rain, low temperature reported in parts of UAE

Different parts of the UAE experienced rain coupled by low temperature on Tuesday, February 12, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) reported.

According to NCM, light rain was reported over Qarnen and Ras Musherib around 1:02 a.m. while heavy rain was experienced at Habshan in Al Dhafrah around 8:10 a.m.

Moderate rain was also reported in Al Mirfa in Al Dhafra around 8:14 a.m.

Other areas in the UAE that experienced a rainy morning include Yas Road in Abu Dhabi (around 9:05 a.m.), Abu Dhabi Corniche (around 9:07 a.m.), Dubai Creek (around 9:15 a.m.), Emirates Road and Al Awir in Dubai (around 9:30 a.m.), Al Jazirah Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah (around 9:41 a.m.), Al Shawamekh in Abu Dhabi (around 10:07 a.m.), and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road (around 10:33 a.m.).

NCM also posted several videos of raining experienced in parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the coldest reported temperature in the country as of 8:00 a.m. is 8.4 degrees in Jais Mountain.

Other areas such as Mebreh Mountain (10.4 degrees), Jabal Hafeet (12.8 degrees), Al Heben Mountain (13.8 degrees), and Al FarFar (15.6 degrees) also experienced cold weather.

The weather is expected to be cloudy, with rainfall of different intensities in different parts of the country. A dip in the temperature is also expected within the day.
