A Pakistani man stood before a Dubai court after allegedly raping a Filipina accountant twice in a deserted area in the emirate.

According to the Filipina, she met the Pakistani at a supermarket in Dubai and exchanged their mobile numbers before becoming friends in WhatsApp after a month of continuous communication, reported The National.

The Pakistani later on invited the Filipina for dinner to which the latter agreed on. The two also visited a cafeteria after their dinner.

After having tea together, the Pakistani drove the Filipina to a deserted area instead of bringing her home.

The Pakistani forcibly pulled the Filipina out of the vehicle and raped the victim twice.

Despite having a hard time moving, the Filipina fought back, however, the Pakistani choked and slapped her.

The Pakistani also threatened the Filipina that he will kill her if she reports the incident to the authorities before dropping her at her residence.

The man was arrested the following day and admitted the crime to the authorities.

If proven guilty, the man will face kidnapping charges on top of two counts of rape charges.

The next hearing is scheduled on February 19.
