DUBAI: The winners of the Mr.& Ms. Bayanihan 2018 have officially been introduced to the public over the weekend at Gerry’s Grill in Bur Dubai. Among the guests who graced the event were Consulate General Paul Raymund Cortes and his wife Yasmine Cortes.
Cortes pointed out that the champs will be engaged in different activities which involves the consulate and the community in the hope of enticing more youth to be more confident in representing themselves, their family, schools, and society. He also acknowledged not only the participants but the parents as well for allowing their children to partake in such event as they have been juggling their time between school and the pageant practices.
During the press conference, the victors of the Mr.& Ms Teens have tackled their take on depression, and social media. They also shared their goals and plans in encouraging and inspiring the youth of today to be more socially aware and at the same time be the best they can be. Additionally, they have also expressed their excitement in pursuing their degree in the medical field, aviation, media, business, entrepreneurship, engineering back in the Philippines while the others decided to stay here in UAE.
Mr. & Ms. Teen Bayanihan was a project of Madame Yasmine Cortes and is being held annually to coincide with the Bayanihan festival.
