Comelec releases full list of senatorial for 2019 elections

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday released the names of candidates running for senatorial and partylist positions in the May 13, 2019 National and Local Elections (NLE).

The lists consist of 77 candidates for senatorial bets and 134 party-list groups for seats in the House of Representatives.

“The following are the last remaining names of persons who have filed Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the position of Senator,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said in a statement.

They are: Abejo, Vangie; Afuang, Abner; Aguilar, Freddie; Alba, Albert; Albani, Shariff; Alejano, Gary; Alfajora, Richard; Alunan, Raffy; Angara, Edgardo Sonny; Ansula, Ernesto; Aquino, Benigno Bam; Arcega, Gerald; Arellano, Ernesto; Arias, Marcelino; Arpa, Hussayin; Austria, Bernard; Baldevarona, Balde; Binay, Nancy and Bong Revilla, Ramon Jr.

Caceres, Jesus; Casiño, Toti; Cayetano, Pia; Chavez, Melchor; Chong, Glenn; Colmenares, Neri; David, Rizalito; De Alban, Angelo; De Guzman, Ka Leody; Dela Rosa, Bato; Diokno, Chel and Ejercito, Estrada JV.

However, the poll official noted that the figure may be trimmed since there are 13 names included that are still pending finality.

“The following is the list of persons who filed COCs for the 2019 National and Local Elections, with pending certificates of finality. No certificate of finality will be issued today (Saturday),” Jimenez said.

They are Alba, Albert; Ansula, Ernesto; Arpa, Hussayin; David, Rizalito; De Alban, Angelo; Encarnacion, Alexander; Geroy, Geremy; Iliw Iliw, William; Javelona, Josefa; Marquez, Norman; Merano, Rolando; Naval, Frank and Negapatan, Eric.

Party-list candidates

Meanwhile, some 134 groups composed the list of organizations which have been allowed to join the forthcoming polls.

While noting that the number of party-list groups is not yet final, Jimenez said their number assignments are final.

“The following are the last remaining names of Party List organizations that have filed Manifestations of Intent to Participate in the 2019 National and Local Elections. Note that this NOT the final list. The number assignments however, are final,” he added.
