The Kenyan woman who poured two liters of acid on a Filipina receptionist’s face in Dubai was sentenced to seven years in jail to be followed by immediate deportation.
According to the Filipina, she visited the residence of her 30-year-old Kenyan friend to pick up her shoes which she left the day before, reported Gulf Today.
While the Filipina was inside the bedroom, the Kenyan entered the room with a white plastic bottle and poured the acid on the Filipina’s face which flowed down her shoulders, arms, hands, torso, and legs.
The Filipina sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The injuries, however, caused the Filipina to go blind and her face disfigured.
Another person inside the residence who was beside the Filipina when the incident happened also sustained injuries and testified against the suspect.
Before the Dubai Court of First Instance, the suspect admitted to pouring the acid on the Filipina but denied causing total blindness to the victim.
The suspect also admitted that she wanted to hurt the Filipina.
