A school bus driver in Dubai pleaded not guilty to sexually harassing an 8-year-old girl inside a bus he was driving.
The 33-year-old Pakistani driver stood trial before the Dubai Court of First Instance for molestation charges after he allegedly hugged and kissed the young girl, reported Khaleej Times.
According to the father of the young girl, who learned about the incident from his wife, the accused would often sit next to the victim and close the door of the bus.
The father added that CCTV footage from inside the bus shows that the accused hugged and kissed the victim. Another footage shows a man attempting to cover the camera before the students boarded the bus.
Following the incident, the father also noticed a change in the behavior of the victim who became afraid to go to school.
The ruling will be given on January 27.
