A new plastic manufacturing park in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad) is expected to open more than 7,000 posts for jobseekers.
Samir Chaturvedi, chief executive officer of Kizad, said that Polymers Park is expected to produce 300-400 kilo tonnes of plastic products per year on top of the thousands of jobs that will be opened for the operations of the manufacturing base, reported Gulf News.
The plastic products to be manufactured in the park ranges from daily use to vehicle parts.
Moreover, the park’s location near the Khalifa Port is also helpful in exporting the products overseas.
The park is expected to generate $1.5 billion in foreign direct investment in the next four to five years as polymers become “one the fastest growing segments globally”.
