LOOK: Ramon Ang donates 50 new BMW motorbikes to PNP

The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has recently added 50 brand new BMW motorcycle to its fleet through the generosity of Ramon S. Ang, owner of local BMW distributor SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation or SMACDC.

Each unit of the of G 310 R costs around P250,000 to P300,000.

The new fleet of motorcycles aims to boost police patrolling around Metro Manila. Meantime, some of these bikes will be deployed to help ease the daily traffic along EDSA.

The new units were marked with PNP stickers. Each is also equipped with sirens and blinkers that conform with BMW safety and quality standards.

Chief Supt. Roberto Fajardo, PNP-HPG director, told reporters before the turn-over ceremony on December 28, 2018: “First time in the sense na BMW ito. Kasi siguro mga 50 years ago pa ‘yung last time na nagkaroon ng BMW ang PNP. We are very thankful for the SMC through Ramon S. Ang for his generosity.”
