Part-time work in the UAE made more accessible through this mobile app

Many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the UAE are engaging in part-time and freelance jobs, as aside from earning extra income, these jobs can allow you to work on your own pace and let you have sufficient free time for other activities. There are also many OFWs who only do freelance jobs thanks to the authorities that have now started issuing freelancer and part-time work permits.

One way to find part-time jobs is through the QuikWORK mobile app. QuikWORK is the UAE’s first job platform for part-time work which enables seekers (talents) to look for freelance and part-time jobs for FREE and get hired in a much shorter time.

Joining the pool is easy: talents have to download the QuikWORK mobile app and register themselves.  Talents can create a profile and upload their portfolio and other eligibility documents that will enable them to get validated as a QuikWORK talent.

Talents can also set up customized notifications and get notified of work that is relevant to them. The application process is seamless and upon applying for a job, the employer will receive all the necessary information about the talent.

Employers can advertise short-term positions and list all the requirements related to that position. QuikWORK also ensures that the employers posting the jobs are verified companies registered in the UAE.

Jaffar Mohammed, Co-founder & COO of QuikWORK, mentioned that the platform addresses a majority of the problems faced by employers when it comes to hiring people for short-term jobs. “QuikWORK aspires to help talents follow their passion and helps them in the process of finding regular gig work and also to address the constant demand of businesses for talents on short-term or project basis. Having worked in the advertising and events industry since 2006, hiring the right part-timers or freelancers for our projects was always our primary problem,” Jaffar said.

The growing demand of part-time job seekers and the increasing popularity of gig work in the UAE urged QuikWORK founders Aalap Ghosh and Jaffar Mohammed to launch the platform. QuikWORK currently caters to the advertising and events industry that has an ongoing demand for talents on gig basis.

If you are interested in part-time work, download the app and sign-up to the platform to be notified of work that is relevant to you.
