The Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ Pampanga Chapter recently conducted an international legal mission to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, highlighted by a seminar overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) where topics discussed include birth certificate documentation, nullity of marriage, cyber libel, and criminal cases under Republic Act 9262, or the anti-violence against women and their children.
Resource persons were Vice President Atty. Ponciano Dela Cruz Jr. Atty. Darwin Reyes (past president), Atty. Ralph Macalino, Atty. Alejandro Buan, Atty. Angelo Lopez III. Deputy Consul General Renato N. Duenas handed the certificate of appreciation to the team for their advocacy to educate OFWs about the law and rights.
