Gen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, Former PNP Chief and now one of the Senatoriable Candidates for the 2019 elections, visited Abu Dhabi last Thursday, November 1 to meet with Filipino community groups.
Together with Bato during his brief visit was PCSupt. Rhodel Sermonia who currently serves as the Acting Director at the PCRG.
Samuel Magsombol, Overseas Vice President of PGBI MI Overseas, was among the hundreds who attended the event. He noted that one of Bato’s concerns was primarily for the welfare of distressed OFWs here in the UAE. “I see Gen. Bato as a gentleman and a good leader. Apart from being approachable, he was also very vocal in his concerns for our fellow OFWs here in the UAE particularly to those who need help from abusive employers.”
The event was organized by Kilusang Pagbabago Abu Dhabi Chapter, and in attendance were more than a hundred of Filipino community leaders and members in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
