Employee kills employer in UAE for not giving salary increase

A Pakistani worker killed his boss using a meat cleavera large knife similar to a hatchetafter refusing to give him Dh500 salary increment the employer had initially promised.

According to Abu Dhabi court, the municipal workers discovered the body of the employer in a parked car and reported to the police afterwards. The worker stood trial at the Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance for premeditated murder and theft charges, reported by Khaleej Times.

Prior to the incident, the employer promised to increase the defendant’s salary from Dh1,000 to Dh1,500 per month. But the employer became reluctant to give the promised increment as reports told.

The defendant, who denied the murder charge, went to out to buy a meat cleaver together with his friend. After which, he called his boss for a ‘meeting’. According to the court records, “He told his boss that he wanted to go to a remote area in the city outskirts to pick something from a friend, but needed his help to get there.”

The crime was reported to have occurred inside a car, where the defendant pulled out the large knife and hit his boss on the neck and head. This resulted to the employer’s death.
