Newly-appointed presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo, on Monday, Oct. 15, said President Rodrigo Duterte’s ashen face is not a matter of concern.
In an interview on ANC’s “Talkback” Monday, he said the president’s health is in good condition.
“He’s very strong. You look at how he conducts himself everyday. No man at his age and some ailments that he has that he tells us every now and then, could do what he is doing now if he is not strong,” he said.
He then added Duterte’s ashen face may only be caused by a skin disease.
“It could be a skin disease. ‘Di ba? Baka derma ang kailangan niya,” Panelo said.
Questions have circulated about Duterte’s health for the last few months and 45 percent of Pinoy believed the president has health woes, according to Social Weather Station (SWS) survey.
Duterte earlier admitted that he undergoes some tests in Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan.
He later claimed he is “cancer-free”.
