OFW, wife arrested in buy-bust operation

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) and his wife were arrested in a buy-bust operation by Kawit Cavite Police on Monday, October 15.

P/Chief Insp. Richard Dones Corpuz identified suspects Gerald Gonzales, 44, and his wife Jonie Gonzales, 43, who both reside at Kawit, Cavite, reported Pilipino Star Ngayon.

Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 4A, conducted a buy-bust operation against suspects early Monday morning.

One police acted as a buyer of drugs for P500. The suspects were arrested by the police while exchanging item and payment.

Confiscated from them were four sachets of suspected shabu, a caliber 38 gun, and a Ford Everest (AAU 8308).
