An Asian gang that steals car batteries from vehicles in Dubai was arrested by the Dubai Police on Sunday, September 23.
The “battery ring” gang has four members who target the industrial areas of Jebel Ali and Qusais.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Al Muaini, head of the crime prevention teams of the Dubai Police General Investigation and Criminal Investigation Department, they were tipped-off about the operations of the gang and they started monitoring the area.
The gang would reportedly choose different areas at different times and sell the batteries to a workshop for a cheaper price.
The four were arrested and confessed to stealing the car batteries. reported Al Bayan.
