Overseas Filipino workers in the UAE can now experience a new way to commemorate their “lucky numbers” or whatever five-digit number that has a significant meaning in their life.
The Roads and Transport Authority recently launched the “Special Moments Number Plates” initiative which will give motorists the chance to select numbers of personal significance for their vehicle registration plates.
Be it the first day you arrived in the UAE, the date you got hired for your first job, or the birthday of a special family member or friend back home in the Philippines, Filipino motorists can now turn that special date into personalized car plate numbers.
RTA listed down the terms and conditions for applying for the special car plate number.
This offer is exclusively for people of age group 18 to 35 (born from 1981 to 1998);
– The number plates, which are from the S code, will be issued at a price of Dh1620 per plate subject to availability;
– Applicants can choose a number from a previously selected list; and
– Applicants can choose the number from the selected list and buy the number plates directly from customer service centers in Dubai, service providers, strategic partners, RTA’s website (www.rta.ae) or Drivers and Vehicles Smart App.
