An Arab national living in Dubai will be deported after serving jail time for seven years. The man was sentenced by the Appeals court after he murdered his Asian girlfriend.
The 31-year-old strangled her girlfriend to death when the victim refused to pay him back his money and ignored him.
They reportedly met at a nightclub and dated from thereon. They went to a trip outside of the country at the man’s expense of Dh50,000. The victim also asked the man to finance a salon which she failed to open, reported Al Khaleej.
Because of this, the Arab national asked for his money back and asked her to break up with him. However, the victim deliberately ignored him, pushing him to do the crime.
He stuffed her body inside a body bag and stole Dh4,500 worth of jewellery from her apartment. After three days of being absent from the office, the police investigated the whereabouts of the woman and arrested the Arab as the primary suspect.
