6 Filipinos pass Physical Therapy Licensure Exam in Middle East

Six out of 19 takers of the Physical Therapy Licensure Exam in the Middle East passed, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, September 11.

The list of passers are as follows:

1. Alcaraz, Maria Esther Cortes
2. Detaro, Elaine Calica
3. Ferenal, Mildred Calipayan
4. Guanco, Carmencita Atienza
5. Hall, Eloisa Abraham
6. Manaloto, Ruel Sangalang

The exam was given in August in several parts of the Middle East including Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and Qatar and Kuwait.

In the UAE, the PRC exam for physical therapists was held on August 24-26 as a part of the annual Special Professional Licensure Exams (SPLE) organized by PRC, Philippine Embassy, Philippine Consulate General as well as and the Philippine Overseas Labor and Employment – Overseas Workers’ Welfare Association (POLO-OWWA) offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Other fields of covered by the SPLE included licensure exams for Architects, Certified Public Accountants, Civil Engineers, Dentists, Electrical Engineers, Electronics Engineers, Electronics Technicians, Master Electricians, Master Plumbers, Mechanical Engineers, Midwives, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Radiology Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Teachers, Veterinarians, and X-Ray Technologists.
