Apple set to release three new iPhones this month

Apple is set to introduce three new iPhones in a few days and one of them is deemed as its most expensive handset yet.

The three models will be launched on Wednesday, September 12, with pre-orders beginning on Friday, September 14. Actual selling of the models is expected to begin on September 21, reported The Sun.

Design

The three models are named iPhone 9, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Plus and are based on their predecessor iPhone X, which introduced the all-screen design in the iPhone franchise.

iPhone XS has features close to iPhone X but it has been upgraded, of course. iPhone XS Plus, meanwhile, has a bigger 6.5-inch screen.

Meanwhile, iPhone 9 with a 6.1-inch screen is a cheaper aluminum-based model for those who still want to enjoy the features of the iPhone X but do not want to burn a hole in their pockets.

In images released by SmashLeaks, iPhone 9 will be available in three different colors – red, white, and blue.

Features

With the new models, Apple introduced improvements and additions from iPhone X.

The models’ processor got an upgrade from A11 to A12 chip improving the phone’s performance by 20 percent compared to iPhone X.

A new operating system, iOS12, will also be available for the all models which will improve several mobile services such as messaging and loading times.

Price

As explained previously, iPhone 9 is a cheaper version of iPhone X, which also makes the model the cheapest among the three 2018 iPhones.

Prices for the phones are estimated to be around $600-$700 (Php32,241 to Php37,614).

However, Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s said that the prices of the phones are more expensive than people predict it to be, as per CNBC. Lynch also noted that the phones are the most expensive among the iPhones released.

iPhone 9 is said to be priced at $799 (Php42,934), iPhone XS at $999 (Php53,681) and iPhone XS Plus at $1,049 (Php56,368).
