WATCH: Massive fire breaks out in Saudi Arabia building

A massive fire took over a public prosecution building in Dammam, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, September 2. Firefighters were able to tame the fire at 2 PM after several hours.

Lt. Col. Abdulhadi Al-Shahrani of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Dammam said teams began extinguishing the fire from outside the building.

In videos uploaded on social media, chunks of the building are seen eaten away by fire while a huge cloud of smoke hovers behind it.

According to the initial investigation, the fire was caused by a failure in the maintenance of the building’s air-conditioning system. They are not looking into possible criminal involvement, reported Arab News.
