Japan to hire 1,000 Filipino caregivers

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that Japan will be hiring up to 1,000 Filipino caregivers over the following months.

The announcement was made after the finalization of the Japanese government’s Technical Internship Training Program (TITP) which is expected to be implemented this month, reported GMA News.

Salaries are expected to range from Php50,000 to Php70,000 per month, higher than the usual pay in other Asian and European countries.

POEA deputy administrator Jocelyn Sanchez said that applicants are required to be graduates of courses related to caregiving. They are not required to be fluent in Niponggo as training will be provided to the accepted applicants.

Aside from Japan, China is als eyeing to hire 1,000 English teachers in the country.

Interested applicants are advised to avoid dealing with unauthorized recruitment agencies and are encouraged to check job postings available on POEA’s website at www.poea.gov.ph. The website will be updated from time to time.
