Famed Filipino fashion designer dies of cardiac arrest

Famed Filipino couturier, Bandoix Flores Nebria, has unfortunately met an untimely death while travelling to Ajman yesterday, a well-placed source told The Filipino Times.

The source, a close friend of the deceased, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Bandoix, nominee for 2016 The Filipino Times Fashion Designer of the Year, died of cardiac arrest.

“He died in my friend’s car. They thought he was just sleeping, but when they tried to wake him up, he was not responding anymore,” recounts the source.
Nebria was in his 50s.

According to the highly-reliable source, Bandoix flew to Dubai from the Philippines to celebrate the birthdays of his close friends in the fashion design industry including TFT Rizal Awardees Ezra Santos and Michael Cinco.

The source recalls fonder moments with Bandoix as they have been friends for more than 10 years in the UAE. Bandoix, the source said, decided to be based in the Philippines just last year. “Every time I’m in Manila, he is always with me and we went for vacation overseas too last July,” adds the source.

Bandoix has already settled down in the Philippines following a decade of fruitful memories in the UAE but decided to go to Dubai a few weeks back for the birthday celebrations of his close friends. “Parang he came back to Dubai to say goodbye to all his friends,” the source said.
