UAE-based company offers jobs for amnesty seekers

An electromechanical and interior fit-out company based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi has opened up job opportunities for foreign workers who are seeking amnesty.

Electrofos recently said that they offering 120 jobs to workers of all nationalities and they are ready to hire amnesty seekers.

Speaking to Gulf News, Suresh Kumar Manian, operations head for Electrofos, said, “Currently, our organisation needs manpower in both the interior outfit and the electromechanical sections. One of our friends at the Amer Centre told us how such skilled workers were compelled to return home during amnesty, because of a lack of jobs. We thought, why not employ them?”

The company said that they are currently looking for skilled and semi-skilled workers to apply for their company. The job openings are as follows.

– 15 for electricians
– 10 for plumbers
– 10 for A/C duct workers
– 5 for pipe fitters
– 15 for gypsum workers
– 10 for gypsum painters
– 45 helpers
– 15 tile masons

Aside from helping foreigners return to their home countries, the amnesty program is an initiative by the UAE government to help foreigners in the Gulf state secure employment.

Electrofos said that amnesty seekers who are trying to secure new jobs can apply by sending an email to [email protected] once they are granted six-month temporary visa
