Skechers brings fun-filled life-sized ‘Shoe-box’ maze in Dubai to give back to children in need

At press time, there are over 300 million children who are in desperate need for shoes. As OFW parents prepare to get their kids ready for school, they now also have the opportunity to teach their kids the value of ‘giving back’ to those in need.

In support of the Year of Zayed, this Back to School season, Skechers in association with Emirates Red Crescent and The Dubai Mall gives back by giving kids from underprivileged countries the right pair of shoes to attend school with dignity and joy.

Skechers has set-up a life size ‘Shoe-Box’ at the main atrium at The Dubai Mall. The shoe-box is modeled in a maze format, where at every juncture of the maze there is a fun game or thrilling challenge that children get to play. For every child that enters the Shoe Box and takes part in the challenge, Skechers will give 1 pair of shoes to Emirates Red Crescent which in turn will be given to kids from countries that need help.

The shoe box will be available for kids until the 11th of September, from 10:00 am to the midnight. OFW and expat parents may bring in their children to both enjoy the games and activities while instilling the value of ‘giving back’ at a young age.
