WATCH: Terrified Filipino family hides as active shooter opens fire in Las Vegas mall

A Filipino family was among those trapped when a security guard opened fire inside a shopping center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, August 11.

Authorities said the security guard left after having an argument with the manager of the shopping center. He returned to the store shortly after with a gun in his possession and shot the manager.

The family of Ryan Alegre was also inside the shopping center when the security guard began firing shots.

In a video shared by KNTV Channel 13 Action News, Alegre and his daughter are seen hiding underneath a rack of clothes after hearing a gunshot from inside the store. Alegre’s wife, who was taking the video, also hid under another rack of clothes.

The security guard was later shot by the police while the manager and all the customers inside the store, including Alegre’s family, were all declared safe.
