Asian bus driver dies after crashing into trailer truck

A collision between two vehicles in Mussafah industrial area in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, August 12, claimed the life of an Asian bus driver.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the Department of Traffic of the External Areas in Abu Dhabi Police Department of Traffic and Patrols, said that initial investigation shows that the bus driver hit a trailer truck which was parked in the area.

The report added that the Asian driver was distracted which led to the collision.

Following the incident, the police were immediately deployed to the accident site to cater to those involved in the crash and to manage the traffic situation in the area.

The Asian man, meanwhile, was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

Al Suwaidi reminded motorists to stay focused while driving and to leave spaces between vehicles to avoid being involved in similar instances.

بسبب الإنشغال بغير الطريق …وفاة آسيوي بحادث تصادم بين حافلة ومقطورة شاحنة بأبوظبي . . . توفي سائق حافلة "باص" من الجنسية الآسيوية ،في حادث تصادم وقع بين مركبته ، ومقطورة شاحنة في مصفح الصناعية م ( 11 ) بأبوظبي. وأفاد المقدم دكتور عبدالله يوسف السويدي نائب مدير إدارة مرور المناطق الخارجية في مديرية المرور والدوريات بشرطة ابوظبي، بأن التحقيقات الأولية أرجعت أسباب الحادث إلى اصطدام مقدمة الحافلة بالشاحنة والتي كانت متوقفة وقوف نهائي في الطريق. ودعا السويدي قائدي المركبات ومستخدمي الطريق إلى ضرورة عدم الانشغال أثناء القيادة وعدم الوقوف في وسط الطريق دون مبرر، واختيار المكان المناسب للوقوف في حالات الطوارئ تجنباً لوقوع الحوادث المرورية الجسيمة، وترك مسافة أمان كافية بين المركبات. وكان مركز القيادة والتحكم بإدارة العمليات بقطاع العمليات المركزية في شرطة أبوظبي تلقى بلاغاً ،بوقوع الحادث وقامت الجهات المختصة في شرطة ابوظبي بتأمين موقعه وضمان انسيابية الحركة المرورية ،وتخطيط الحادث و نقل المتوفي إلى مدينة خليفة الطبية في أبوظبي. #الإمارات #أبوظبي #شرطة_أبوظبي #أخبار_شرطة_أبوظبي #الإعلام_الأمني ‏#UAE #AbuDhabi #ADPolicee #ADPolice_news ‏#security_media
