The Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) in Dubai revealed that the Dubai Metro was able to service 103 million passengers during the first half of the year.
In a statement, RTA said that 66.86 million passengers rode the Dubai Metro Red Line while 36.43 million riders travelled through the Green Line. Dubai Tram, meanwhile, was used by 3.20 million riders.
The interchange stations between the Red and Green metro lines have recorded the highest number of riders, with Burjuman Station leading the way recording 6.369 million passengers, followed by the Union Station which received about 5.488 million.
This year’s numbers is also higher by 3 million rides compared to data from the same period of last year at 100 million riders.
