Authorities remind residents that car washing on streets is illegal

Filipinos in the UAE who own cars, as well as those who accept car washing jobs in residential buildings, must put a brake to it as the crackdown intensifies.

The Sharjah Municipality said there are workers who are usually free at night who accept car washing jobs from residents who would be out of the country for a long time, reported Khaleej Times.

However, they reminded that this is illegal as there is a ban on washing cars in residential areas.It gives adverse effects in the environment and the dirty water can bring several diseases.

Authorities are tracking down those who would leave their cars abandoned on public streets, as well as those who would accept illegal car washing jobs.

The penalty for car owners who would leave their cars on public areas to get their vehicles washed is Dh250. Illegal car washers will be fined Dh500.
