A Dubai court sentenced a Filipino man to six months in prison followed by immediate deportation after secretly filming his naked flatmate.
The complainant, a 24-year-old Filipina, said that she was informed by a friend that the suspect had taken an explicit video of her when the two of them shared a flat in November, reported Gulf News.
She did not believe it at first until her friend showed her the 10-second video taken by the defendant and sent via WhatsApp.
The said video showed her changing her clothes.
She shared a room with the defendant which had a wooden divider. She suspects that the defendant sneaked his phone under the divider and filmed her.
The court decision is still subject for appeal.
