Mindanaoans satisfied with Duterte’s performance

In the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Station, 84% of Filipinos in Mindanao are still satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance; only 8% of the sample respondents are dissatisfied.

According to the grading system, scores above +70 are excellent, +50 to 69+ scores mean very good, and +30 to +49 scores say still good.

However, President Rodrigo Duterte’s public satisfaction ratings went down an 11-point drop nationwide.

This was a downgrade from very good to good, said the polling firm. Sixty-five percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied, 15% were undecided, and 20% were dissatisfied with the president’s performance on the second quarter of 2018.

“The 11-point decline in President Duterte’s net satisfaction rating from March 2018 to June 2018 was due to declines of 20 points in Metro Manila, 18 points in the Visayas, 6 points in Balance Luzon, and 6 points in Mindanao,” SWS reported.

Performance ratings also dipped in Visayas at +47 (67% satisfied, 20% dissatisfied) in June 2018, down by 18 points in March. The grades were the difference of the percentage of the dissatisfied from the satisfied respondents.

The president’s net satisfaction ratings stayed excellent in Mindanao, at +76 (84% satisfied, 8% dissatisfied) in June 2018, although down by 6 points from +82 (87% satisfied, 5% dissatisfied) in March 2018.

The survey was conducted from June 27-30 using face-to-face interviews among 1,200 adults throughout the country.
