Authorities arrest man for mocking petrol station worker in UAE

The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution has ordered the arrest of a man who mocked a petrol station worker while filming him and posting the video on social media.

The authorities issued warrant against the suspect. The UAE law does not tolerate disrespectful behavior toward others.

“The Abu Dhabi Prosecutor’s Office expressed its rejection of such acts and breaches of the law, affirming that it would oppose all that would disrupt the system of values and morality or lawlessness, as part of its role in representing society and upholding the rights of all its members by entrenching the rule of law and preserving the ethics and values of the community,” the Prosecutor’s Office’s online statement read.

Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has also extended their apologies to the petrol station worker.

ADNOC underscored the importance of respect toward customers and their employees.
