The Ministry of Labor has declared Friday, June 15, till Saturday, June 16, as the official Eid Al Fitr holiday for the private sector in the UAE.
In a dispatch, Khaleej Times reported that the matter came in a circular issued by the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, pursuant to the provisions of Article 74 of Federal Law No. 08 for the year 1980 regarding the regulation of labor relations, as amended, which determines the holiday of the private sector as the first and second day of the month of Shawwal.
This at hand, officials asked the expat community in the UAE to be advised accordingly.
