Address Downtown returns to business as usual two years after fire

Two years after the fire that engulfed its interiors, Address Downtown Hotel in Dubai has opened its doors to the public once again.

The hotel will have new features in line with its reopening, which includes a new interior, The Galliard which will serve French, Spanish, and Turkish cuisines, and a branch of famous steakhouse STK, reported The National.

The lounge bar on the hotel’s 63rd floor, Neos, is also back to business.

Address Downtown, which is a 220-room property and part of the Emaar Hospitality Group’s Address Hotels and Resorts brand, is starting to accept booking priced at Dh1,000 (Dh14,200) for a one-night stay.

The hotel has not been fully operational since 2016 when a fire caused by an electrical short circuit ruined the building, leaving 15 people injured.

“Address Downtown holds a very special place in the hearts of all discerning travellers and guests. Defined by its central location overlooking Burj Khalifa, the hotel has consistently secured the world’s leading tourism and hospitality awards,” The National quoted Olivier Harnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, as saying.
