Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi will no longer accept “Walk-In” passport applicants

The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi has stated in an official announcement that it will no longer accept any “walk-in” applicants beginning June 3.

Filipinos would now have to undergo the online appointment system to secure their slot and have their passports renewed. In an earlier report, Vice Consul Anna Guerra explained that the embassy opens slots weekly: “We open appointments weekly and it’s really on a first-come-first-served basis. However, we open around 5-20 slots daily as soon as appointments are freed up for various reasons. If the appointments are already filled up for the week, we just have to wait for the following week for another batch of slots to be opened.”

Those who have emergency cases and require immediate passport renewal have to send an email to [email protected] together with copies of their passport, visa, and a proof of urgency for passport renewal. Upon receipt, the embassy team will check each case and those who have sent the email will be given priority for their passport appointment.
