Sexually abused OFW seeks help

An overseas Filipina worker (OFW) in Taif, Saudi Arabia cried for help after allegedly suffering sexual abuse from her employer’s son.

According to the OFW, her employer’s son raped her twice within a month, reported GMA News.

The OFW recalled that the first incident happened within three weeks of her employment in the Gulf state. She was abused for a second time before the Ramadan season set in this year.

“Naglilinis po ako, bigla niya akong pinasok. Sabi ko maawa ka sa akin, sabi niya may condom akong dala, hindi ka mabubuntis,” the OFW said.

The OFW was also forced to do lewd acts.

“Binaboy nila ako rito, hindi ako perpektong babae pero hindi ko binenta ang kaluluwa ko kaya ako nagkatulong,” she said.

The OFW explained that she cannot escape her employer for fear of her safety.

Her aunt, however, was able to report her case to the Office of Consul General.

Consul General Edgar Badajos has promised to help the Filipina and urged other abused OFWs to report incidents of abuse.
