Cynthia Villar still richest senator

Senator Cynthia Villar remains the richest senator while Senator Sonny Trillanes is still the poorest based on their 2017 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) released Thursday, May 17.

Villar reported P3,611,260,766 in her 2017 SALN, a P5.2 million increase from her reported net worth of P3,606,034,556 in 2016.

The female senator is followed by Manny Pacquiao who declared P2,946,315,029.93. Pacquiao’s net worth dropped by P126 million, the biggest decrease among the senators.

Meanwhile, despite an increase in his net worth this year, Senator Antonio Trillanes is still the poorest senator with a net worth of P6.8 million.

Meanwhile, detained senator Leila De Lima placed a notch higher than Trillanes, with a reported net worth of P7.9 million.
