Man continues to receive birthday cards from dead wife

A British man continued to receive a special card on his birthday from his wife who died two years ago.

Chris Pointon’s wife, Kate Granger, died of cancer at age 34, on the day of their second year anniversary, reported Independent.

However, before her death, she made sure her husband would receive birthday cards from her, every year until he turns 65.

Each card comes with a note stating the date when Pointon could open them.

“She wrote them a couple of years before she died. There was this box under her bed which I wasn’t allowed to open until after she died. There was a letter there for me which I opened on the day she died,” Pointon said.

One of the birthday cards, which has been shared on Twitter, read “To my dearest humpty dumpty, Into your 40s now gorgeous. Has all the hair gone now? I love you and always will. So much.”

Pointon reacted by saying how much he misses her.

“Such an emotional birthday card to open….. from my beautiful and inspiring wife [Kate Granger] She is always with me and wrote cards for me well into the future…. miss her so much. I hope im doing you proud my beautiful angel in heaven,” Pointon’s post read.
