DUBAI: Attention everyone! Western Union has announced that voting for the “Pinoy Superstar” singing competition in the Middle East is open from March 2 to 31, 2018.
The “Pinoy Superstar” competition was launched to provide a platform to celebrate and recognize the singing talent of the Filipino community in the Middle East.
After the first announcement on the launch of the competition, organizers received over 1,000 video submissions.
The competition, open to Filipino residents aged 18 years and over in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, received over a thousand audition entries via www.westernunion.com/ph/pinoysuperstar.
After an initial round of screening, twenty contestants from each country have been selected. The contenders will now have the chance to move to the next round of the competition after an online vote.
Online voting will be open to the public from March 2, 2018 to March 31, 2018. Viewers can vote for their favorite WU Pinoy Superstar Semi-Finalists via www.westernunion.com/ph/pinoysuperstar and like or share the video of their favorite contestant using their social media account.
Only one contestant from each participating country will be selected to represent their respective country in the Grand Finale. Each country representative will receive $2,000 and will compete for the title of Western Union Pinoy Superstar and the grand prize of $10,000. The finale will be held in Dubai on April 13, 2018.
