Survey hails NAIA as one of world’s “most improved” airports

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) was voted as the one of the world’s “most improved” airports, according to a survey conducted by London-based research firm Skytrax.

The country’s main airport was ranked as the 10th most improved airport in the world.

The ranking was “based on the relative year-on-year Quality performance by all airports featured in the World Airport Survey, and takes into account the change in rating together with performance changes across the different product and service categories in the awards.”

More than 13.73 million travellers from over 100 countries answered the survey conducted from August 2017 to February 2018.

Aside from NAIA, more 550 airports were also assessed in terms of check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, and departure at the gate.
