NGO launches mobile app to watch over OFWs worldwide

A mobile application to watch over the welfare of many overseas Filipino workers was launched by a non-profit organization last Friday, February 2.

Myrna Padilla, head of OFW Watch, said that the app has a software that is designed to “link OFWs in distress, and those that need assistance”.

Padilla said that this mobile application includes an SOS (Save Our Soul) and Journal that will be very useful for OFWs who are miles away from their loved ones.

The app was also made easy via mobile phone so that data sharing and other mean sof internet application would be smooth.

The OFW Watch will be working with Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLA) to further enhance the technological solutions to address the concerns of OFWs.
