A young man and a woman, aged 19 and 20 respectively, are facing charges for exchanging nude photos through WhatsApp, and for having consensual sex out of wedlock.
The man allegedly blackmailed the Asian woman to post her nude photos on social media if she marries another man, reported Khaleej Times.
The woman, threatened, alerted her mother about it and soon her mother filed a complaint against the Asian man in the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police.
The authorities were quick to investigate the case and apprehended the suspect who later revealed to be in a relationship with the woman.
During the public prosecution, the man was charged with trespassing her father’s house, exchanging nude photos with the woman, having a consensual sex with her out of wedlock, and threatening to defame her.
He also told the court that he had sex with his girlfriend, who was still a minor then, upon her consent, and insisted that the latter was the first to send nude photos and even permitted him to do the same.
However, he denied the accusation of blackmailing the woman.
The woman, on the other hand, conceded to all the charges filed against her.
The adjournment case will be on January 24.
