BSP probes faceless P100 bills

After a netizen named Earla Anne Yehey posted photos of faceless 100-peso bills last Sunday, December 25, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) claims that the reported case of faceless 100-peso bills is isolated.

According to Yehey, she withdrew the money in a Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) ATM in Eastwood City, but later realized that the bills has no faces.

The bills are supposed to bear former president Manuel Roxas’ face.

The viral post has been shared over 20,000 times and reached almost 30,000 reactions.

BSP and BPI are now coordinating in probing the cause of the faceless bills.

Meantime, authorities advised people to coordinate with their respective banks in case it happens again.
