A large number of visa runners, believed to be in the hundreds are currently stranded at Sharjah International Airport having been there for the past few days waiting for their visas to be issued after exiting to Oman, Kuwait or Bahrain. It was gathered that an ongoing system update by Immigration has been causing the visa release. This however could not immediately be confirmed from authorities. A number of the visa runners have reportedly been deported having stayed at the airport for over the 48 hours allowed time. Stand by for more updates.
