A public school teacher in San Carlos City, Pangasinan was arrested for sharing child pornography in his social media account using government email address.
The 29-year-old teacher was found out to be sharing child porn after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Pangasinan received a report from Office of Cybercrime of the Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Police authorities also found out that the teacher was using his Department of Education email to share child porn.
NBI has also confiscated his laptop, two cellphones, a digital camera, thumb drive, two card readers and a USB broadband.
In his defense, the teacher said the videos posted on his social media are for personal use. However, four of the videos have already been shared to his four friends.
The evidence obtained by the NBI was turned over to the cybercrime office.
If found guilty, the teacher might face reclusion perpetua or up to 40 days of imprisonment.
